Stir Fried Garlic Pea Shoots

About the Recipe

Have you ever wanted to make stir-fry but never had the ingredients? Order some microgreens today so that you can make the above recipe^. You will agree and will want some more!


  • Olive oil - I tablespoon for oil of choice

  • Garlic - 3-4 fresh cloves peeled and sliced

  • Pea shoots - 1 large bunch washed well

  • 2 cups kale microgreens

  • Chicken

  • Rice

  • Broccoli

  • Cauliflower

  • Carrots

  • Salt and pepper - to taste

  • Sesame oil - I teaspoon

  • Paprika


Step 1

Place your olive oil in a wok or frying pan and bring to medium heat. Add 2-3 cloves of

minced garlic and sauté just until you can start smelling them. While this is cooking, start some brown rice in a rice cooker or a pot.

Step 2

Once you can smell the garlic filling the air, throw in the veggies and pre-cooked chicken now. You can throw in ram chicken pieces too, but you will need to cook for an additional 5-6 minutes (or until the chicken has reached. the internal temperature of 165 degrees).

Step 3

Add your pea shoots, salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about 2 minutes or until

wilted but still bright green. Drizzle with sesame oil. Toss and remove

from wok.

Step 4

Garnish plate with paprika for more flavor and flare. Create bed of rice on plate and finally place on the contents from the wok. You can top this with additional microgreens for a little more flavor.
